Grith Pioneers encourage the quiet enjoyment of Shining Cliff Woods. The SSSI status of the woods and our desire to preserve the natural environment, means that we are obliged to minimise damage to the woodland floor. With this in mind we respectfully ask all visitors to stay on the public rights of way. Unofficial paths will be blocked from time to time in order to discourage access off the official footpaths. There is no access for motorised vehicles. Cycling and horse riding are only encouraged on the bridleway through Beggarswell Wood.

Please contact us, leaving plenty of time, if you would like to organise an event, camp or other activity on our land. We have to gain permission from Natural England for many of the activities that you may wish to take part in.
